Access the Port of Melbourne Rail Incentive

A Port of Melbourne start up incentive is now available to support import containers moved by rail to Melbourne Intermodal Terminal in Somerton, located in Melbourne’s north.

Eligible volumes may receive $100 per TEU or $200 per FEU. The incentive is limited, with registrations closing 6 February.

Incentive supported rail freight volumes can support potential savings of 15 to 25%, alongside efficiencies gained through avoided West Gate Tunnel tolls and reduced demurrage risk.

Learn how to capitalise on the Port of Melbourne incentive and transition eligible volumes to rail at Melbourne Intermodal Terminal below.
